Our Advisory Board has been set up to harness the extensive corporate and international expertise of its members as we seek to grow our global network of supporters and partners. The Advisory Board plays a vital role in providing support to the Trustees in the areas of fundraising and financial compliance.

Rita Adiani

Rita has close to 15 years of global fund-raising and business development experience. Prior to her current position as Executive Vice President of Xiana Mining Inc., Rita was a Managing Director at NRG Capital Partners, a natural resource focussed, merchant bank headquartered in London with global coverage.Rita has worked extensively in Latin America and raised funding for various projects with a community element. Prior to NRG, she held a manager role in the corporate finance department at the private mid-tier gold miner, La Mancha Resources and also as Vice President at  Société Générale (SG) in London.

Rita is a private curator and collects European and South American contemporary art. She is a law graduate from the University of Oxford and University of Sheffield and also has a Certificate in Mining Studies – Mining & Minerals Engineering from the University of British Columbia (Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering). Rita speaks English, Hindi, French and Spanish.

Hermenegildo Altozano

Hermenegildo is a partner at the international law firm, Bird & Bird where he heads the Energy and Utilities practice in Spain. Hermenegildo is considered by the main international law directories to be the top expert in foreign investment in Cuba, where he regularly advises some of the main market players in the energy (power, oil and gas), natural resources (mining), financing, aviation, agribusiness, tourism, food and infrastructure industries. He has also represented private investors in investment disputes in the energy sector. In 2017 and 2018 Hermenegildo’ s practice won the Chambers & Partners Latin America award for International Counsel in Cuba.

Dania Seiglie

Dania Seiglie is Founder and Chair of The International Performing Arts Foundation (TIPAF).  She has over 35 years of international and investment banking experience. She recently retired from her role as Senior Banker, Managing Director and head, UK Natural Resources, Société Générale (SG), London. She was a Director on SG Hambros Private Bank’s board. During her 23 years at Société Générale, she held various positions including Country Manager, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Her expertise focused on structured finance, advisory and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining SG, she spent 12 years with JP Morgan (former First Chicago) Chicago and New York and three years with Citibank in Chicago. She is a registered representative at FINRA (U.S.) and an Approved Person at the FCA (U.K.).  She is also a curator for Cuban contemporary artists whose works were exhibited in London and Portsmouth, NH. Dania speaks English, Spanish, French, German. Dania is of Cuban heritage and has supported Carlos in his endeavours for a number of years.
